Finalise

I finally managed to complete the whole title sequence for this swagger man series. After much attempt on how to actually track frame by frame, I made my title sequence more neater also by re-doing it too. I used about a few days to make it like a film strip feel of it. I hope I didn't exceed the requirement of using more than 50% of the footages, I used some of the NGs scenes to create it out too as I didn't film any new elements during these few days. I mainly made use of this film strip concept. Hopefully this sound track I've found would be suitable too as it's quite difficult to find. I've been searching for days for the suitable one. I made it like a comedy style type of title sequence. So that's about it!

Working on title sequence

So I actually had an idea of how to do for my title sequence. Firstly I'll be finding an old looking background then I'm having this concept of doing it by putting some of the footage into the film strips. Frame by frame it would introduce the characters and produced by which group. I'll be trying out and will update my progress soon.

Researching for ideas

I'm researching on ideas to use for TV title sequence that we're working on which is Swagger Man. After watching some title sequences for some references, I had an idea of maybe showing a close-up shot of Swagger man and Boy 1's face but revealing from head till eyes portion only and cut shots in between them. Next is to show part of their outfit and the posture they would be doing. This would be edit to make it looks like cut shots between Swagger man and Boy 1 for the first part of the title sequence. I've yet to find any suitable references to show further about it but I'll try my best to find and put into this blog to note down. As for the behind part of the title sequence, I've found a youtube video reference.

 



 

This is The Graduate 1967 opening sequences. I'm thinking of using similar way to shoot Boy 1 except that this character is standing at a escalator while Boy 1 would be walking instead. People would be walking by him initially without noticing him but after he had a makeover, which would be a cut scene. People would start to notice him and give him a shocked face. The title sequence would probably ends with Boy 1 walking out of the frame with his back facing the camera.

However, I'm not sure if this idea would works so I will try it out one day and also find more references. That's about it for today.
